Buchanan Dam

Here are some pictures from Buchanan Dam. Lake Buchanan is the only Highland Lake that was open to boating this week. It's the biggest lake- all of the other lakes below the dam were closed due to debris from recent flooding. Our friend's lakehouse is in a little cove and just a month ago the cove was DRY but as you can see from the picture of Aaron and James in the boat it is now full of water! When it floods like this it really helps us to understand how all the dams and lakes are connected. There's one (bad) picture I've posted of the water being released out of Buchanan Dam. LOTS of water!
