Sorry for the post-free November

I just haven't taken any pictures! I've gotten a little sidetracked this month but I'll try to post something soon...sorry for the delay!

Thomas the Train

Today the kids got to ride on Thomas the train! I bought the tickets months ago but didn't tell Aaron. We told Aaron we had a surprise and he didn't know what we were going to do until we were walking around the corner to the Convention Center and there was a big train. It was hard for me not to tell him but the surprise was fun. The ride is only about 30 minutes long, but the kids enjoyed it. It was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect for the open windows on the train. Now we are thinking our next vacation should be a train ride somewhere! We'll see...

Princess Tea Party

Mia was invited to a Princess Tea Party today - the 3rd birthday of one of her school mates. It was pretty cute - they had tea, lemonade and little sandwiches. Mia had fun - poor Aaron was home sick. I included a picture of him, too.

Mia says, "I go school, too!"

What with Aaron starting kindergarten and all, I almost forgot to post anything about Mia and her "school"! She has started going to the same place that Aaron went to preschool, but she goes three days a week from 9am until noon. And she seems to really like it! She gets to take her backpack and I think she feels really grown up because she gets to go to "school" too.

So here is a picture of Mia getting ready to go to school with her backpack.

Aaron's First Week

Well, Aaron has his first week of kindergarten under his belt. Overall, it was a positive experience! He really does like his teacher. The first week is all about learning the "rules" and following the schedule. It's a lot to learn! If you ask him what his favorite thing about school is, he'll tell you "nap time" and recess - hee! (Nap time is when they lie down on a towel with the lights turned low. He doesn't actually nap. They will do this until about January.) But he says good things about P.E. and art, too. It will be interesting to see what other kinds of things he does during the school year!
