Girdwood, Alaska

If you ask the kids what they did in Alaska, the first thing they will probably say is, "We got to play in the snow!" Keep in mind, they have never seen real snow. We had some flurries a couple of winters ago, but hardly any stuck to the ground.

We got to play in the snow in Girdwood, our last stop before the airport. The Alyeska Ski Resort is there and we had heard about a tram that would take you to the top of the mountain, where there was a restaurant and a nice view. The possibility of seeing snow was one of the main reasons for stopping, and it was definitely worth it. Aaron ran around like a maniac, slipping and sliding in the snow. Mia was a little more cautious (weird, I know!) and held daddy's hand most of the time.
